Arty isn’t feeling very well. There’s a rumbling in his tummy, but what could that mean?

Like all the residents of Rubbish Town, there’s only one Toast to turn to at times like these! But Arty doesn’t have an appointment and Dr Toast is a very busy slice of bread.

Unused Pages: A Trip to the Doctor

Every RubbishBooks story goes through multiple rounds of editing, not all the pages make the final cut

Below is a page from ‘A Trip to the Doctor’ that was never used. The idea was that when you clicked (or tapped) and held down on the picture, Arty’s heart rate was monitored

You can try it out at: http://rubbishbooks.com/books/visitDr/behind/taphold.html

And give the final book a read at: http://rubbishbooks.com/books/visitDr/

dr toast, what a clever slice of bread,
i’m most surprised that bread has a head,
and arms and a mouth, two eyes but no legs,
but then again,
who needs legs when you have a stethoscope,
he’s a doctor on call, a real top bloke.

there was this time, when patrick had the spots,
that dr toast had a plan, he connected the dots,
it wasn’t jam or marmalade that saved the day,
it was that slice of bread, he kept the spots at bay.
